Joanie's Muffins (untested)

This typewritten recipe says it is "Joanie's", referring to Grammy's youngest daughter. I suspect this is from the late 1950s or the 1960s.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups flour
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 beaten egg
• 1 cup milk
• 3 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions:

1. Sift together all dry ingredients
2. Mix butter, milk, and beaten egg
3. Stir about ten quick strokes
4. Fill muffin tins about 2/3 of the way full
5. Cook in a moderate oven at about 425°F for about 20 minutes or until golden brown
