This recipe is written in handwriting I don't recognize and was jotted down on the back of a cake recipe (I've posted the cake recipe separately here).
Ingredients for loaf:
1 1/2 pounds meat
3/4 cup oats
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 egg beaten
3/4 cup milk
Ingredients for topping:
1/3 cup catsup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon mustard
There are no instructions included with this recipe. It is interesting to note that both this recipe and the cake recipe call for oats. I wonder if Grammy and a friend were chatting and a friend recommended these two recipes as creative ways to use oats.
